Underground Rrailroad Sampler Block of the Month
Instructor: Alice Bross
As you learn to make fifteen different quilt blocks, you will learn the unique story behind each design. Fascinating quilt and stories. Bring a mat, ruler, rotary pins, and scissors.
Dates: FourthTuesday of the month from 6 - 8 pm
Cost: $15.00 per month. The fee includes the kit for each block. However, you must come to the class to receive the kit. |
Individual Sewing Classes
Instructor: Alice Bross
These classes are designed for your needs and schedule. Young or older students are welcome. Work on the project of your choice. These classes can also be geared to those of you who need more help in learneing to use macnines that you already have.
Fee: $25 for a 2 hour session

Baltimore Album-Hand Applique Block of the Month
Instructor: Toni Elliot
Once per month meet for two hours to create nine beautiful blocks. In month ten you will be working with sashing and placement of the blocks. Month eleven you will be working on a variety of border options and discussing the marking of the quilt. Month twelve you will layer, baste, and begin to quilt. This will be a beautiful quilt made a little at a time. Not an overwhelming task. Pick-up a supply list and plan to join the class.

Pioneer Sampler Block of the Month
Instructor: Alice Bross
Quilts were an important part of settling the west. The dozen blocks in the Pioneer Sampler represent geographical sights that they passed through in search of a place to make a home. Bring a mat, ruler, rotary cutter, scissors, pins, thread, and join the class.
Dates: Fourth Friday of the month from 6-8 pm

Egg Money Quilt Block of the Month
A 1930's vintage sampler. During the 1930's most eggs were produced on rural farms with small flocks. With the funds from selling eggs, the farmer's wife may have purchased fabric in order to make a quilt similar to the one we will be making. Come to the store and see the blocks and chose if you wish to use dark or light fabric.

Raggy Jacket
Instuctor: Maureen Hughes
Dates: fri. Oct. 1,22 & Nov.5
Time:6-8pm
Made of only two layers, the Raggy Jacket is lightwaight for your year wear. Using the raggy piecing techneque, constuction is easy and fabulouse.

As Time Goes By
Have you always wanted to make a sampler quilt but worried about how you would ever make all those different blocks? Worry no more...we can make them together. We will guide you through every phase, and you will be suprised with everything you've learned along the way...while you were having fun. This is a block of the month class.

Turtle Crib Quilt
This quilt was designed by Erika. The turtles are mostly pieced with very little applique. You must be present to recieve the pattern.

A red, white, blue, and gold quilt made with forty's prints. A Patriotic quilt.

Use just one pieced block and several different bright, contrasting prints to make this prize-winning Wiggly Worms child's quilt.

Biblical Blocks
This will be a two year project. The 20" Tree of Life block will be in the center. It will be surrounded by 16, 9" blocks, each based on a Biblical theme. Choose fabric that suits your style.

Midnight Sun
Make two quilts at once with this strip-pieced design by Jinny Beyer. Using extra strip-pieced triangles cut from the same strip sets, you'll have enough pieces to make blocks for a second quilt.

Have you always wanted to try your hand at making kaleidoscope, pinwheels, and star designs? Marvel at this simple method for rotary cutting these versatile blocks. We will make the LeMoyne star design.
